About Tim

Upon retiring from the United States Navy in 2017, Tim got his start as an Investment Advisor at a corporate firm in Bellevue Washington. Although the corporate model had economies of scale, the planning did not go deep enough to meet client needs.

At this time Tim was introduced to the concept of the boutique RIA firm.

Tim started Anchored Risk Management, which is an independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) along with Financial Planning and Financial consulting. Anchor Capital Management also runs a robust Risk Management practice. Tim advises professionals, executives, business owners, retirees, military retirees, active duty military, and veterans. Tim offers his clients taxation management, estate planning guidance, risk management advice, retirement planning and cash flow management.

Due to the complexities of personal finance, Tim does not believe one person can handle all the nuisances of money management. Tim has established Anchored Risk Management to focus on relationships and planning. When a client desires investment advice, Tim will introduce them to a pre-screened investment advisor to manage the client's portfolio. Tim manages the money managers for the client and Anchor Capital will be paid 50% of the manager’s fee to cover all planning services and relationship management time in the future.

Tim holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of the Incarnate Word, a bachelor’s degree in Business from Columbia College (MO), and a bachelor's in Psychology from Troy University. Tim believes comprehensive financial planning is the cornerstone of a healthy family, healthy business, and healthy mental outlook for all.

Tim dabbles in home improvement projects and so far, he has all his appendages. He is a frequent volunteer in two local non-profits Mighty to Save Ministries and Summit Assistance Dog.
